Discover the Greek Olive Oil Bar at Cinque Monastiraki

There is a new reason to take a seat at the Cinque bar during the day. From 11:00 to 17:00, Cinque Monastiraki welcomes you to its Greek Olive Oil Bar: a place to compare extra virgin olive oils, ask questions and discover the flavours you enjoy.

The counter is ready with blue tasting glasses, wooden trays and cards introducing the oils. Choose your experience, settle into a bar stool and let Greek olive oil become part of your day in Athens.

Four oils, time to explore

Each tasting introduces four selected Greek extra virgin olive oils. Tasting them side by side gives you a chance to notice their individual aromas and flavours, rather than meeting them only as an ingredient in a finished dish.

The bottles and presentation cards bring the story of each oil to the counter. The team guides the comparison, and you can describe what you notice in your own words. No previous tasting experience is needed.

Choose your tasting experience

Discover is an introduction to four extra virgin olive oils, with bread and guided tasting. It is a simple starting point for getting to know the oils.

Taste & Pair adds food to the comparison, with cherry tomatoes, feta and bread. Try the pairings and see which combinations you prefer.

The Full Journey takes the experience further, pairing four oils with four dishes as a light meal. Allow approximately two hours to enjoy the Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil Journey.
